For those of you who have lost a parent or a loved one for that matter, you know the pain it causes. With that being said , yesterday marked the 5 yr passing of my beautiful mother, Judy.

  Lung cancer was the cause of her passing. Yes. She smoked cigarettes… For quite a long time. The reason for this post is not to make you sad… But to fill your heart with a little bit of joy.  My mom was a strong and beautiful person. She is and was simply amazing. I am who I am today because of her love. As much as I crave for her to be near me , I’m blessed to have such an amazing person raise me.  Today is her birthday.
Happy birthday, momma. I miss and love you every time I blink my eyes… Thank you for making me the lady I am today and for being my guardian angel.

I wanted to dedicate this blog to the best thing in my life… My precious little boy, Monroe Bevill Foxx.  Anyone that has a pet, knows how much they mean to you.  I wanted to give Monroe a shout out.  Thank you for loving me all the time. Even when, i’m cranky, smelly, happy, moody, lazy or in a great mood.  You are my dawg… Literally. Hahah.

I am obsessed with this Fast Drying Top Coat, Seche Vite!  I notice that a lot of people I talk with about nail polish,say that they are also obsessed!  Being so addicted to this product, I went to a beauty store to purchase extra!  I walk in and ask if the store carries Seche Vite. The woman gives me a weird look and says “I hope you dont use that product!”  I get a weird look on my face because it amazing.  I told her “Yes, Yes I do, Its fantastic”  She mentioned that it had been pulled from the shelves a few weeks ago due to harmful chemicals in the top coat.  The company had to re-package the product with correct warning labels.  WHAT THE …. !!?!?!?!?  I decided to check into this.

The package states … “WARNING! This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause birth defects or reproductive harm.”

Seche Vite  is using “toluene” — which can be absorbed through the skin. It also contains formaldehyde (the chemical used in EMBALMING FLUID.)

HOLY CRAP!!!  Shiny nails are not that important to risk my health.

I did some searching in my sad, harmed reproductive state :)  I found a pretty bitchin’ Base/Top Coat.  Let me start by saying that is ISNT Fast Drying as Seche Vite BUT, It do NOT contain Toulene!  YAY!

It is called Duri Rejuvacote!  It is a nail strengthener and top coat.  It has made my nails very shiny and my nail polish doesnt chip, like Seche Vite did.  Try it out.  If you guys have any tips for a better top coat than the one I found, send it my way…  I take my nails very seriously! DUH!

Save your uterus … STOP USING SECHE VITE

I can NOT stand it when you ladies don’t take care of your nails.  Really?!?!? Is it that hard not to pick or fix a chipped nail ?!?!?!  It drives me crazy. If you can’t maintain your nail polish.. then, don’t paint your nails.  So simple.  If you can spend 30 mins on your hair, spend 30 seconds repairing your janky ass chipped nail polish.   I hate when I see a gorgeous girl… dressed awesome from head to toe, fly as can be.  I look down at her nails and they are janky.  STOP BEING JANKY.  If you are asking yourself, “why don’t I have a boyfriend!”  Try looking down at nails… is your polish chipped ?  There is your answer.  Maybe you are single because, every guy that looks at you thinks “wow, if she can’t keep up with her nails then maybe she can’t keep up with her hygiene”  chipped nails may mean that you don’t shave your legs… or something else ;)

Get it together, ladies.  Let’s keep our nails looking good…

So…. my BFF Alicia, came to Los Angeles to visit me.  She suggested we go see the Hunger Games.  She has read the book, I have not. I’m not a HUGE fan of reading the book and seeing the movie. I like to do one or the other.  We decide to go see it last night.  Let me start by saying I am shocked that this is a children’s book.  The movie shows war, murder and poverty.   If I were a 5 yr. old…. i’d be confused and freaked out hahah.  It was a little awkward for a children’s book. None the less, it was entertaining and I thought Jennifer Lawrence was gorgeous … I couldn’t take my eyes off of her.  Go see it … if you have seen it, tell me what you think.
