Mario Badescu

/ Posted on November 1st, 2010

While out shopping one day for some new skincare, I ran across Mario Badescu.  I had never heard of this line before.  After testing out all my options, I decided to purchase the Buttermilk Moisturizer.   Now let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a total consumer.  If someone tells me that a product will give me the smoothest skin, the shiniest hair and the whitest smile I will probably purchase the item. Even though I am a selective on my consumerism’s, I still give in.  With Mario Badescu there were no whistles and bells.. yet I was hooked!

With that said, I will continue my story. So for a couple of days I used the moisturizer.. It was really nice.  My skin was softer and more hydrated than most of the fancy-smancy products I’ve used in the past. I decided to try their other skincare products. I currently use the Seaweed toner, Hyaluronic SPF day cream, Hyaluronic eye cream and the Seaweed cleansing soap.

In all truthfulness.. my skin hasn’t looked/felt this good in awhile.

The cool thing about Mario Badescu is they don’t promote their products with fancy packaging and labels. They are reasonably priced as well. Mario has stated in a few interviews that he prefers to offer botanical skincare at a reasonable price with “no frills” packaging.  I totally love that. “Sorry Chanel but I wont be purchasing your $100 eye creams simply because of the awesome “CC” logo on the top.”

So anyway , check out the site http://www.mariobadescu.com they have everything from dry skin, acne and normal/combo products.  All botanical and no animal testing :) Head to any Ulta and check out his products first hand!

Has anyone reading this tried or currently use any of his products.. Gimmie feedback on your favorite MB product.

I AM OBSESSED…….. with these shoes!

I was strolling through Nordstroms one day…. Minding my own business, when a woman trying on shoes stopped me and asked for my opinion.  She said “What do you think of these shoes.. I need a younger opinion“  All I could do is GASP! I told the lady that those shoes were sent from heaven above and to purchase them immediately …  Then as I walked away I wiped the drool off of my mouth.  These shoes are dramatic and fierce!

Have you guys seen/own these shoes?

I need them in my life!

The Texas Rangers

/ Posted on October 27th, 2010

As most of you know the Texas Rangers have stomped the NY Yankees and made it to the World Series! Well I wanted to give a little background of the good ol Rangers.

Personally I never was a baseball fan. Basketball was the only sport that really peeked my interest. Well after meeting my husband, that all changed. He is severely in love with baseball. He played baseball in High School and College.  After watching a few games and really giving it a chance.. I started digging it. I noticed myself knowing more of the players and signals. It helped also watching him be so passionate about it. Getting really pumped during the games… yelling at the TV.. I was hooked. Now we watch all the games together. Now that the Rangers have made it to the world series i am PUMPED. Looking at their history and how hard they have worked!

The Texas Rangers are a professional baseball team that plays in Major League Baseball. The Rangers play in the West Division of the American League. The official colors of the Texas Rangers are red, white, blue, and gray.

In franchise history, they had made only three post-season appearances in 49 years, with no playoff series wins and only one road playoff game win. In 2010, the Rangers rewrote their history and won the 2010 American League Division Series against the Tampa Bay Rays, then their first American League pennant against the New York Yankees. They will represent the American League in the 2010 World Series vs the San Francisco Giants.

As many of you have seen… the new hand gestures the Rangers have been sporting.. the “claw” and the “antlers

The Bear Claw became the symbol of strength and power—it was displayed after a base hit when a player safely reached base.  Even a successful sacrifice fly would earn a show of the claw.  We also use the Claw on our pitchers making that punch-out, strike-out happen, too.

The Antlers simply mean speed and agility—they are earned by stretching a base hit into extra bases or a by stealing a base.  Ranger fielders would be rewarded the Antler by the fans in the stands for a heads-up play on defense.

Now that you are up to speed … (unless you are a Giants fan.. or a butt-hurt Yankees fan) Lets watch the Rangers beat the Giants and make baseball history !!!

PS – I love the image above. Nothing is better than seeing A-Fraud strikeout to end the game and the series while our boys celebrate their victory and his defeat!
